Scotty joined Sacred Mountain Spa as our spa manager. He also works as an esthetician, licensed by the California State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology. Scotty attended Chico Beauty College in 2006 and provides relaxing and beneficial skin care treatments and also specializes in hair removal. His passion and skill level of makeup artistry enables him to be Sacred Mountain Spa's BareEscenutals Specialist and he is also available for makeup consultations or applications for special occasions ranging from weddings to a night on the town.

Ruth Kramer, Psychic & Massage Therapist |
Ruth Kramer is sought after internationally for her professional talents as a gourmet chef, healing instructor and therapist. Ruth holds more than a dozen certificates as both an instructor and therapist in bodywork healing techniques such as reiki and other massage therapies. She uses her gifts as an intuitive to guide and coach your life with inspiration. She’s a great listener and believes deeply that our bodies constantly communicate with us, but adds that we are so often pre-occupied elsewhere that we do not always take notice. She proposes that with practice we can all learn to become better listeners, not only of our own bodies, but with each other. Ruth suggests that “as we begin to consistently listen, the universe will open its doors; and communion with each other and our world can and will occur!” She can simply give a massage or she can offer life guidance. Her many talents are used to calm, soothe, give energy, nurture and bring joy to the recipients. Many of Ruth’s clients talk about about experiencing a renewed sense of purpose and direction as well as strength and faith.

Rachel started at Sacred Mountain Spa as an Intern after recently completing her massage training in 2008. Rachel graduated from the Mount Shasta Institute of Holistic Therapies and is currently a student at the College of the Siskiyou’s. Though she has only been out of school for a short time, all of her clients agree that she seems to have the knowledge and skill of a seasoned therapist. Rachel is available for Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and body scrubs.

Melinda's foundation for bodywork reflects her approach to life; with focus on inner tranquility, joy and balance. Her sessions are nourishing, restorative and effective; anointing the body with warm botanical oils, rhythmic strokes and specific acupressure holds to encourage the flow of prana (life force). She assists in bringing one into a heightened state of awareness; utilizing breath and intention. This immersion into deep stillness allows the nervous system to observe any resistance (pain, tension, stress...) that is inhibiting the natural flow of wellness and to initiate a self-healing response. Limiting patterns of thought and habits that are crystallized in the body are allowed to soften, disarm and ultimately...be released.
Her background weaves Yoga and Ayurvedic principles into her bodywork. She integrates years of her own personal yoga practice, intensive training as a yoga instructor and education at the Ayurvedic Institute. Eastern medicine and philosophy blend with her training and work as a massage therapist in beautiful Maui, HI; creating a whole being approach to her therapy.

Drawn to the healing arts at the young age of 17 and originally a Sonoma County native, Drea graduated from the Calistoga Massage Therapy School in Santa Rosa. Drea then studied Ayurvedic massage and shirodhara. This brought out a passion for studying skin care and will soon offer Esthetic services! With fourteen years in the spa industry, she has kept her enthusiasm and continues to use her healing hands to give to those wanting to unwind from our daily stresses. Swedish massage integrated with acupressure, deep tissue, reflexology, and hot stone massage blended with hand work are her specialties. She looks forward to giving the rest and rejuvenation that your body, mind, and spirit deserves! |

Sarah Patania graduated from Citrus Heights Beauty College in 2000, and went on to get her esthetics license from the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology in June of 2000. She immediately joined Redding Dermatology and received extensive training as a medical assistant and medical esthetician. In 2002 she joined Mirage Day Spa and received training in relaxing spa facial techniques as well as massage. During that time she also pursued freelance makeup artistry with M.A.C. cosmetics in Redding. More recently she has worked as an Independent Consultant for The Body Shop and joined Sacred Mountain Spa at the beginning of 2009. |
